Fishing has been heating up a little bit. It’s been a tough year as most know, big fish have been tough to hook up with. Smaller fish have been eating baits somewhat regularly but the bigger metro fish have been following lazy and doing the “drive by” at the boat. Bulldawgs and small bucktails have been the best bet.
Water temps have been getting very warm on top. Night fishing should be getting good and the late summer/early fall bite should be something to look forward to.
Here are a couple of pics from this weekend. Traveled north a bit with a buddy to get these two dandy’s. These fish had remarkable girth for July.
Still have some openings for the late August/September bite that has been so good to us in years past!
