I was lucky enough to have Clients Adam Gildner and Captain Guy Lopez in my boat for the afternoon of 9/29. I had fished a few hours before they arrived and quickly found out that most of the spots that had been producing fish lately, were unfishable due to the wind. It was blowing steady at 25 to 30 mph and gusting to 45 mph out of the northwest. I had one fish hooked earlier in the day and moved one on a jerkbait, but that was it. By the time Adam and Guy jumped in the boat around 4:00, all I knew was that we had a tough day ahead of us. We bounced around to a few spots that were relatively out of the wind. Finally around 6:3o the wind let up just a touch. I decided to hit a rock pile that has been very productive. Not long into our drift, Adam hooked this nice musky. It was a bit of chore getting her into the net, but Adam buried the hooks right in the corner of her mouth and she stayed pinned. Nice work fella’s! Had a great time in the boat with you guys.
Also, you can check out Captain Guy Lopez’s website at www.wilddogguide.com or from the links page on my website. He guides on Lake Michigan and inland lakes in the greater Chicago area and southern WI. Guy knows his fishing!
