It’s been a while since the last report… I sort of missed out on writing a report on the night bite that got going toward the end of our indian summer during the first part of October. Fish were eating blades on weedlines during the first few hours of darkness, while it was downright difficult to find a hungry one during the day.
Now we have progressed into a nice big rubber bite. Double dawgs seem to be the hot bait for me right now, all though pounders have been taking some fish as well. Weedlines still seem to be the best bet but we have found some fish on mid lake structure as well as spotting some in shallow. This can be a very rewarding time of year… fish are putting on a lot of weight and we have spotted several very long fish as well… If any one is looking for shot at a fall monster, the next couple of weeks is going to be the time to try….
